Dan is flying high. Congratulations to Dan who passed his big bike test in Merthyr today, at his first attempt. With just 1 minor fault recorded this is a great result. Dan’s first test booked in Swansea a few weeks ago didn’t go ahead due to the seriously bad weather conditions (high winds and flooding) so was rescheduled for today. Now get this, today the bike examiner was following in a car as he said the bike was too hot!!! “No air conditioning”!! Dan, perhaps you can explain about adverse weather conditions…… Well done.

It’s not the Tour de France. Working over this weekend on the regional cycle event L’etape de la Defonce, with the National Escort Group. A great event, incident free which is always a good result. And some fabulous weather. It’s why bikes were invented!

The bike is being ridden by Darren (a member of the National Escort Group – and he’s done a bit of training with us here at 1st Class) the Scribe with the most difficult task of getting the information correct, writing it on the board, showing it to the riders during the race & holding on!!! is Hannah from Welsh Cycling. A great event and an exciting day that we were pleased to be part off. Both looking good there chums.

Look what I’ve got!!!! Well done to Jon for passing his Mod 2 test at his first attempt today. Jon started training with us some time ago, having to fit his sessions in between trips from his home in Belfast. With no Direct Access scheme in Ireland he chose us for his training. Passing his Mod 1 yesterday and his Mod 2 test today. He’s a big character & now with a big smile, and a big bike licence to match. Congratulations.

Abergavenny Festival of Cycling The Main Event. The Grand Prix of Wales. A gruelling 104 mile route finishing with 10 laps of a circuit in the town. Easy for me! I was doing it on my motorbike.
