Join us on a Ride Out. 3rd July. P & O Grand Event Ride Out. 3rd July. To celebrate 175 years in the Cruise business P&O are holding a Grand Nautical Event in Southampton on Tuesday the 3rd of July. This will be an evening Ride Out and will be lead by our Ride Out Regular, Dave Payne. Being and Old Sea Dog himself he knows the best vantage point to see this once in a lifetime spectacle. The whole P&O Cruise Fleet will all be assembled together for the first time ever, in Southampton water before departing for locations around the World. There will also be an appearance by The Red Arrows. (Hopefully not in the water). The plan is to meet at The Golden Arches at Coryton Interchange, Junction 32 of the M4 for a 2pm departure. Travel down through Warminster into the New Forest with a few stops along the way to arrive at Calshot for approximately 6pm. This will be in time for the Grand Event to cruise by at 7.20pm. (See the location map above). For the return journey we will depart approximately 8pm to the M4 via Salisbury Plain, Devizes and Chippenham getting back to Cardiff about 11.30pm. Dave estimates the mileage to be around 260 miles. This trip will include some motorway so, sorry, no L plates for this one.

Brighton Rock… or Whitchurch Rocks… Mods Rule! Pictured at the end of their CBT on the weekend are scootering chums Calum & Kieran. Both into the Mod & Scooter culture. Now they’ve completed their cbt and are out on the road they can silence their friends who’ve been asking “Where’s you scooters then?” Two classic styled Vespa scooters, and 2 very happy riders are out on the road as a result of 1st Class Rider Training. Well done boys…. Brighton here we come…..

C B Trio. Jodie, Dan & Adam enjoying the sunny break in the clouds at the start of their Cbt yesterday. A great day. Dan trained on one of our Yamaha YBR’s as he has one at home waiting for him. Jodie has here scooter waiting to be registered and Adam who was a complete novice is now a fan of the automatics and will be buying his cheap to run ‘run around’ very soon. All smiles at the end of the day and all out on the road today no doubt. Well done to them.

A Grand Weekend. Here is Matt, Kieran, Calum and Steve on their Cbt on Saturday. All did really well and finished before the rain caught us. Matt used one of our scoots but has his own bike ready and waiting. Steve was riding his very stylish Aprilla and Calum & Kieran, both Quadriphenia fans were riding their retro iconic Vespa scooters. Complete with Parka jackets. Nice one. Well done to you all.

Direct Access 1st Class. Seen here taking a break at Erwood Station Tea Rooms in Mid Wales is Dave & Martin. Training last Thursday up in Mid Wales. Wherever possible we do our training on the types of roads you are likely to ride after you pass your test. We don’t see any value in rehearsing test routes as we want to teach you to ride, not simply to pass the test. Dave & Martin covered over 170 miles during the day which is all excellent preparation for their riding future. And a nice pot of tea. 1st Class.

A 1st Class Biker is a Happy Biker. Here is Jon enjoying the scenery in The Brecon Beacons today before passing his Mod 2 Bike test at his first attempt in Merthyr today. Passing with just one minor rider fault, this was an excellent result. Jon, who is not yet 21 has beaten the law changes coming in next January and can now ride his 700cc Honda Deauville (with a restrictor fitted) as a full licence holder. Fantastic! Why not be like Jon. Put a smile on your face and get on a bike today, the 1st Class Rider way. Well done Jon. A nice ride today and a great result.
