The Silver Fox Cafe. Pictured here is Mark who has just passed his Mod 1 Bike Test in Newport, with a clean sheet, on the first attempt. Well done to him. So in preparation for his forthcoming Module 2 Road part of the bike test we took a ride up the A48 towards Gloucester. (A bit of a jolly really). We took a stop at The Silver Fox Cafe. A blast from the past. Anyone who ever did a Police driving or bike course back in the day would have enjoyed a stop at the Silver Fox, on the picturesque banks of the Severn. Closed down for many years re-opened recently and is proving to be very biker friendly. Mark has his Mod 2 booked in Bristol so we will be taking a stop here on the way again soon. Well done Mark.

Emergency Stops in the wet. Seen here during his CBT Paul practices his emergency stops in the wet. Even in dry conditions we soak the training site so that our riders can experience braking in the wet. Learning to respect the wet surface and not be fearful of it. This has proved to be so important as today saw us all thrust back into wintry conditions out of the blue. Whilst we may not normally plan to ride in the snow or heavy rain, today showed that we can so easily be caught out. So we believe that it is important to be shown how to deal with these conditions before it becomes necessary. If you want to practice this important element of your riding, please give us a call and we can guide you through it.

Sue and her Marauder. Taking a break at the Brecon Beacons during her Mod 2 training. Sue has her test booked in Llandrindod Wells in a couple of weeks so will be out practising. Sue proved to be a very systematic rider but just loved going around roundabouts…. twice!

Congratulations for a great pass. Pictured here is Vernon, on the left who just passed his Module 1 test in Newport yesterday, with Richard on his ‘Step up’ day for the first time on the 600 ready for his test next week. He took to the big bike with great balance and clutch control. Well done to Vernon who has proved to be a very smooth rider.
