More 1st Class Smiles! A drizzly Newport couldn’t dampen Dave’s spirits as he passed his Module 2 Bike Test this morning. Waiting at home he has a new Harley Davidson 883 Sportster! He’s spent enough time polishing it…… so now it’s time to get it out on the road. He’s going to bring down to show us so I’ll post a picture of it then. It’s like the words of the Arlo Guthrie song say….. “I just want to ride on my motor…. sickle”….. Nothing stopping you now Dave. Well done.

Colin’s Burger Van! If you are ever riding along the A470 just North of Merthyr take a stop in the layby alongside the Llywn Onn Reservoir. It’s picturesque at any time of the year, just on the edge of the Brecon Beacons National Park. It is also the place where you will find sustenance & refreshment at Colin’s Burger Van. Here is Colin….. but I don’t know who the fat bloke in the yellow jacket is…. eating all his profits….. Pay Colin a visit. Bikers are always welcome.

Well Done to Josh. This is Josh during his Direct Access training, taking a break in the Brecon Beacons before going on to pass his Module 2 Bike Test in Merthyr today. A very damp and dismal day but with a very bright outcome. Well done. Just out of shot on the left is Colin’s Burger Van….. and for you not to be disappointed a rare picture of the legendary Burger Van will follow shortly. A nice ride Josh with just 2 minor rider faults.

Big Congratulations Well done to Bart & Alex, pictured here, who both passed their Module 2 Bike Test in Newport this afternoon. Two good rides brought smiles all round, after a very cold start this morning. (I mean a very cold start…. Bart is from Poland and even he said it was cold!!) Alex has his bike already and will be out on it later today and Bart is setting himself a weekend of test riding at the local dealers to help him decide what to buy. 1st Class Congratulations to you both. Well done.

Slow Control. In the early days. Riding a BMW R80. On the initial Motorcycle Course doing the slow control exercises. The Instructor then said, ‘It’s not all about speed. It’s about being able to control the bike at slow speeds’… And this was before the Mod 1 Bike Test came in, but the same is still true. Being able to master the clutch control at slow speed is a great confidence booster. Why not book yourself on one of our 1 day ‘Slow Control Courses’. Get the best from your bike…before it gets the better of you. (Not wishing to give my age away but just look at the top of the range cars parked in the background.) Quality!
