Motorcycle Training news, from 1st Class Rider Training – Cardiff.

A Glorious Day. Fab weather and great company. On a CBT today our 1st Class Riders make a start on the big bikes. Preparing to move off is, from the front, Ryan, David, Trevor, and Ryan. All proving to be confident riders and well able to handle the big bikes on their first day. All now wanting to continue on to do the Direct Access Course. And now is the year to do it before the new licensing laws come in in January 2013. They are all going to get their head into the books for the theory test – and David already has his head in his new Lidl helmet! Well done to all four of them who all enjoyed the day.

Up before the Sun today. Pictured here is Vernon, after an early start this morning, enjoying his Christmas Present of a Direct Access course. He completed the CBT with us recently and took his Step Up to the big bike today. He is now ready for his Module 1 test. Following a family biking bug, he is keen to get rid of the L plates so he can fulfill a wish to ride with his Dad. Let’s do it!

It never rains but it pours!! We had a visit today from Alex, who passed his bike tests with us recently. He brought his bike along to show us. Every time he is here it pours with rain!!! It rained during his training, it rained on his tests, and it rained again today. He has just got his GSXR 400 on the road and was enjoying the ‘sunshine’…. Oh no, it was raining again. Nice one Alex. It’s great to know that you’re enjoying it, whatever the weather.

Scooters Rule. On their CBT today, Ben & Yadam. It’s Ben’s Birthday today and he celebrated by completing his CBT. He’ll be out on his Aprillia later. Yadam has ridden in India and is now in the market for a 50cc of his own as he now has the full licence entitlement for a moped after the training today. Ben, who is a student at Whitchurch High School, where we are based will be sending his mates along for a cbt. We’d better get another scooter on the road ready for action. Who needs gears when you can twist ‘n’ go.

Well Done Ladies. The smiles says it all. Completing their CBT after being Snowed Off last week these are the smiles of Mother & Daughter team, Sam & Tasha after returning from a nice road ride up to MacDonald’s in Pontprennau yesterday. Sam, from Bristol, did a lot of research before choosing 1st Class Rider Training, and we were happy to see them through the first stage of their training. Both are coming back in for the Direct Access course as Sam has her eye on a Harley 1200 Sportster. Well Done to you both.

Fred Hill Memorial Ride Out. What a great turn out for the Fred Hill Memorial Run today. A freezing start to the day couldn’t chill the spirits of the crowd of chums who gathered at the Caerphilly Mountain Snack Bar early this morning. After a route briefing, Gareth from Cardiff MAG gave a short history of who Fed Hill was and the importance of why his memory should be kept alive, and then we set off for Abergavenny. A good day with great company. Join us on the next Ride Out.
