Motorcycle Training news, from 1st Class Rider Training – Cardiff.

“I’m waiting for you”….. Don’t forget our Teddy Bear & Toy Run to the Children’s Casualty Unit at UHW Cardiff on Sunday the 11th of December. Don’t forget to bring a Teddy Bear ( at least one) or any other suitable cuddly toy. These in the picture are in Ikea and are only 99p each so you can get him and a few of his friends. They have plenty of others which are cheaper so you can bring loads! Each toy will be donated to aid the recovery of any child unfortunate enough to find themselves in the Emergency Unit over the Christmas period. Please don’t bring a massive one that will hinder the work of the emergency room staff. The idea is for the child to have a companion that will aid their recovery for their time in the casualty unit so small ‘handy sized’ ones are best. The hospital staff know we are coming so please let’s make this run even bigger than our previous ones. If you can’t make it yourself then please buy some bears and we can arrange to collect them to make sure they arrive at the hospital safely. I’ll be posting a reminder nearer the date with details of the meeting point and times. So don’t leave this little Ted in his cage. Go and set him (and a few of his friends) free and let him bring some joy to a sick or injured child this Christmas. Cheers.

At the NEC Bike Show. Met up with an old friend, Paul From North Wales Police who continues to be heavily involved with Bikesafe. Giving presentations at the show. We worked on Bikesafe Cymru together in its early years and it is well worth doing. Keep an eye out here for a more detailed feature on Bikesafe, and how you can get involved. Paul is, literally a lifesaver… He just doesn’t realise it yet. Nice one Paul.

CBT in Cardiff today. Matt, James & Chris enjoying the Autumn sunshine on their Cbt today. James did his first Cbt with us a few years ago and has come back for more. Matt did his Cbt elsewhere but didn’t complete so has come to us to redo it. James has just returned from serving in Afghanistan and we welcome him safely home. All heading for the road this time. Taking a break at 11am to observe the silence.
