New Chain & Sprocket time. With the extra use that the 600s have had since the Direct Access categories changed it’s time for them both to have new tyres, chains and sprockets. This is Phil the fixer man who can fix what you need fixed!

Do you suffer with wind? If you are out riding today, take care in the high winds and gusty conditions. Reduce your speed particularly on exposed roads, bridges and flyovers. Relax your grip on the bars. The tendancy is for riders to tense up when hit with a gust but then you and tge bike become one rigid frame. If you relax itll help you ride the gusts easier. Don’t take ‘shelter’ by riding alongside high sided trucks because they too can be blown off course, or overturned by high winds. Give yourself space to move around. In the countryside watch out for trees and branches that may be lying in tge road around the next bend. And in case you missed it…. relax! Stay safe out there.

Stepping Up! Here is Jamie & Spiro at the end of their step up day today. Moving onto the 600s in preparation for their Mod 1 tests to come. Well done both. Also apologies as we are a bit short on the photos this week. But well done to Cat who passed her Mod 2 test in Llandrindod Wells on Thursday. Her first attempt so a fab result for her. And today, James who was 16 today doing his cbt on his Birthday, together with Gareth who was renewing his previous cbt with us. So well done to all those new riders at various stages of their riding life on two wheels. Fab.

New Boots for the Bike. Mark at MG Mobile Tyres fits Pilot Road 3s to the GTR. Fab tyres, wet or dry. Gives you the comfort of a nice pair of Ug Boots and as sure footed in the wet as my old Beat Dr Martens! Look after your tyres. They are your only contact with the road, and thats how it should be.

A Grand Day out. Pictured here is Kevin who came over from Ireland for some Advanced Training and assessment towards retaking his RoSPA test. Kevin runs a training school in Ireland where the training rules are a bit different to the UK but he enjoyed his run up through Hundred House and Tintern. Nice one! Now I just to wangle a trip to Ireland…
