The Guernsey Girl. This is Mandy and her very shiny Harley 883. It’s a journey of ‘firsts’ for her on this trip for her riding. First off the Island. First in the dark. First on a motorway. First time in Wales. First time at 70. First Class! And it continues tomorrow with some twisty Welsh Mountain Roads. A great ‘first’ day today. Well Done.

Just checking In. We are at the impressive Art Deco, Riviera Hotel overlooking the bay at Weymouth. We are here to meet Mandy, a client from Guernsey who is joining us for some Post Test Training. Leaving Weymouth tomorrow to spend a couple of days riding some Welsh Mountains before returning to Guernsey at the end of the week.

Merthyr Mod 2 Tests. Here is Mamoo, Instructor Jeff, Ian and Happy Dan who had just passed his test. Inspired by Dan’s success, Ian also went on to pass in the afternoon, at his first attempt, so a great result for him. Well Done. Unfortunately for Mamoo with some confusion over signals it wasn’t a pass for him today.

Magic Beans for Dan. An early start for his Mod 2 test in Merthyr found Dan in need of something to settle his nerves. And we know that McDonald’s use Magic Beans in their Coffee, so we paid a visit. And they worked! A first time pass for him with just a couple of minor faults recorded. To say he was relieved is a bit of an under statement! Magic Beans….
