Scooter Smart/Commuter Safe. Riders get individual attention and guidance with their slow control, U Turns & Emergency Braking before going out on road for the practical session. All rode in great spirits regardless of the thunderstorm which just made the emergency stops more interesting. Well done to all. Thanks to the RoSPA SEWAR Group Advanced Tutors who assisted today. Free Courses Start Today. The Scooter Smart & Commuter Safe Motorcycle Courses start today. Free, as they are being funded in the local authority areas of Cardiff, Caerphilly, Rhondda Cynon Taff & The Vale of Glamorgan. The first course is running at Maindy Stadium today. It was a nice touch to see the illuminated Traffic Advice signs on the A470, North Road this rush hour stating, “Be Aware of Motorbikes. Well done the Councils. To book yourself on a course contact the Road Safety Officer at Cardiff Council who is collating details of interested riders.

You Know you’re having a Bad Day…….. When the examiner comes to get you, to pick the bike up off the floor for your student in the middle of a Mod 1 test….. and the air was still thick with the smell of burning rubber after the super skid from your other student on the previous test! Even 1st Class Riders have bad days.

A First Time Pass for Owen. Mod 2 in Merthyr today and Owen passed with just 2 minor faults. He came to us just to do his cbt but we gave him a go on the 600 at the end and he was bitten by the bug! Just three training days later and both tests passed first time. So I just gave him a go around the school on my bike, with a big smile on his face! So now what have we started!

Dixie’s Round Up! Cbt today, Clement, Ian, Daniel and Jodie. By coincidence Daniel & Jodie found themsrlves riding together just about 2 years ago when they first did their cbt. Both booked back on today to renew for another 2 years. Well done to them.
