Mod 1 Training – Manual Handling Exercise. A lovely day for it. Mike & Josh show their skills today in preparation for their tests to come. The first part of the module 1 test is the manual handling where you have to push the bike backwards from a parking bay and turn it around ready to ride for the next riding exercises. So we did a bit of this and then went for a nice ride around the Gwent levels to get some fresh air! 1st Class.

If you haven’t done one, do one! The Biker Down courses run by the Fire & Rescue Service are well worth doing. It’s free and covers topics of basic first aid, crash scene management and safety, helmet removal and discusses the effectiveness of Hi Vis. Courses are run at various fire stations so there will be one near you. It’s well worth doing.
