It’s very frustrating – we know! We are inundated with calls from potential students wanting to book cbts. We know some training schools are ‘open’ again offering cbt. The guidelines for us were for essential key workers only. For everyone else we have to wait. Be careful, as the guidelines allow me to ride to work (as I can’t work from home) but if you are then riding on the say so of the training school, you would be breaching the rules. At 1st Class Rider Training we wish to make sure that we are not putting our students in a potential breach of the rules, and we don’t want to encourage that. So if you are booking a cbt for yourself or others at this time, please make sure you clarify exactly where you stand in relation to the rules.

Spring has Sprung (been and gone) and Summer’s here. With the lovely weather continuing, (although we might have a thunderstorm next week), we are all keen to get out on our bikes. But don’t rush it. Lockdown Rules might have been relaxed but the virus hasn’t just gone away. Stick to the rules and be careful. Don’t get carried away, riding on the empty roads. (They’ll still be there for you when the time is right). Our basic and L plate test training is still suspended, and we are waiting for definitive advice from the DVSA. We still can’t book riding tests – but hopefully we’ll be back up and running properly again soon. Be patient, not a patient! Stay Safe.
