I just want to hear the silence! A warning. I started riding a motorcycle in 1974. It wasn’t until I’d been a Traffic Cop for a few years that studies were done regarding hearing damage caused by riding. The ‘job’ initially issued us with these foam type ear plugs, before moving us on to the moulded type. But sadly, for many, the damage was done. I have a constant noise in one of my ears now. Noise damage to your ears is irreparable.. It is surprising at what low speeds, and time duration damage can be done. (our medical officer referred to a study on Dutch Police Motorcyclists). If you are riding, protect yourself. Get yourself some ear protection, and get into the habit of using it. Before it’s too late for you!

Cbt today for Rachel & Paul. Dixie was in charge!! Rachel booked in some time ago but Paul was a late (very late) stand in. Fortunately for him I had two separate students ‘desparate’ for a cbt, cancel at the last minute. ( not that desperate then?) but it worked out well for Paul. Two more 1st Class Riders out on the road. We’re doing it all again tomorrow.
